The history of North Mississippi Orthodontic Associates dates back to 1959. That was the year in which Dr. Fayette Williams opened the first orthodontic practice in Tupelo. He was dedicated to providing quality, personalized orthodontic care to children and adults. It didn’t take long for Dr. Williams’ patients to start referring their friends and neighbors to him.

In 1978, Dr. Dickey joined Dr. Williams’ practice and it was renamed Williams and Dickey, DDS. Dr. Holman became an associate in 1995 and two years thereafter, Dr. Williams retired and the practice was renamed North Mississippi Orthodontic Associates. From a humble beginning with one orthodontist, we now operate five office locations with a support staff of 14. But Drs. Dickey and Holman still follow the same practice philosophy that was set forth by Dr. Williams over 45 years ago.

Taking a leading role in community outreach.

Drs. Dickey and Holman are orthodontists who place a lot of importance on community, and they have a history of giving their time, energy and resources to organizations that extend beyond dental care. For starters, they’ve got children in the same schools as your children or grandchildren. They also attend the same churches as you do. And Dr. Holman may be your kids’ soccer or Little League coach. Drs. Dickey and Holman also devote themselves to more formal community projects, such as the North Mississippi Cleft Palate Team, where they provide orthodontic care for children who were born with this condition.

Drs. Dickey and Holman are also actively involved in their respective churches, where they currently hold several leadership positions. Dr. Dickey serves on the board of directors for the United Way of Northeast Mississippi, and he has been involved with Habitat for Humanity, Sav-A-Life of Tupelo and Mississippi Economic Council, among others. Dr. Holman has been coaching youth sports for over two decades and is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Tupelo, Future Focus 2010 Investor’s Council and Community Development Foundation Member. He is also a Boy Scout volunteer.
