Your new smile starts with a great bite.
Drs. Dickey and Holman’s goal is to make sure that all of your teeth work together to give you a healthy, beautiful smile. That’s why they will conduct a comprehensive dental exam and a complete orthodontic diagnostic workup which includes digital facial and dental photographs, study models of the teeth, panoramic and cephalometric X-rays and a computerized facial cephalometric analysis. If Drs. Dickey and Holman pinpoint any bite or TMJ problems, they will develop a treatment plan to address them.
By helping you achieve a healthy occlusion — also known as a “proper bite” — you will be esthetically satisfied, have good bite patterns, be less likely to develop gum disease and minimize wear on your teeth. A proper bite can also help decrease potential TMJ symptoms such as jaw pain, tension-type headaches and facial pain. Once your initial exam and diagnostic records are completed, a customized orthodontic treatment plan will be presented which will include a discussion of all specific orthodontic problems and a review of all treatment options indicated. |
